The next day we had to leave at 12 P.M. to catch our flight to Sydney but before we left we went with a lady that lives in that farm house to search for the sheep again. We found them and then fed them. It was totally fun. Then we drove to the airport, returned the rental car and went on a Quantas flight to Sydney.
We were now on our way back to Christchurch. Before we got to Christchurch we slept at a farm house. When we got to the farm house we fed the Alpacas and one of the Alpacas spat on me (Not a nice experience). Then after I washed my face we went to feed the Sheep, but there was no luck for us. We ate dinner and went to sleep.
From Te Anau we went east to a city named Dunedin. When we got there we went to see the Cadbury chocolate factory. They explained all sorts of things about how to make chocolate. We also got liquid chocolate and we also saw 1 ton of chocolate falling. When we finished we went to a wild trip next to the Otago Peninsula. In the start we saw some Albatross. The albatross is the largest bird in the world reaching 3.5 meters from one wing to the other. Then we saw some sea lions, seals and yellow eyed penguins and all that was in there natural habitat. Five lovely hours.
We all woke up at 6 A.M. and drove to Milford Sound. Almost all the way my sister and I were sleeping. We got to the place at 8 and on 9 we got on a boat to see one of the wonders of the world: the Fiord. It was amazing, we also saw some seals and lots of waterfalls. On the way back I was awake and we saw a bird which was quiet big and scary. We saw some snow and stopped to play with it a little.
I learned that Milford Sound is one of the rainiest places in the world. It has 6 meters of rainfall each year!!
We woke up at Queens Town. We ate breakfast at our room and went to the city again. We went to see some Kiwi but then we decided to go on the cable car again (The Kiwi place was close to the cable car). At the cable car my sister and I did the Luge again and our parents waited for us in a café place. Then my mom was a risk – taker and did the Paragliding (It's something she always wanted to do). She said the view was incredible from up there (That day was nice and sunny). Then we ate lunch at a family restaurant and continued on our way to Te Anau. When we got to the hotel we went to see glowworms. We took a boat to a cave which was dark and walked in it until we got to a place in the cave were a little boat took us around a place were most of the glowworms where. After that we came back to our hotel.
We woke up and went to an hour ride on a Jet Boat.
Then we continued to a cable car. On the top we did the Luge which is a car ride.
You take a car and drive with it all the way down. It was FUN!!!
We ate lunch up there and then my mother and my young sister went horse riding for an hour and a half while my dad and I walked along the river. After that we went to the pool again. We slept at Queens Town.
We woke up. After a good breakfast we walked along the lake.
We climbed on a tree. From there we continued to a place called Puzzling World.
Puzzling World is a place for puzzling. I did the big maze. The big maze is a place were you need to get to all 4 towers and back to the start. It was very very hard for me and my dad but we worked it out. Then we continued to Queens Town.
From there we went straight to a big swimming pool with water slides. After that we ate dinner and went to sleep.
We woke up and then watched a short movie about the glaciers in Franz Joseph. After that we went on quad bike journey. It was so fun because my driver was one of the instructors over there so she did some cool stuff that nobody else did. Then we drove 4 hours to Wanaka. On the way we stopped at the Fox glacier to see the blue glacier.
Then we finally got to Wanaka and that is where we slept.
After we woke up we drove south to Franz Joseph Glacier. On the way there we stopped at Ross to search for gold in the local river. Unfortunately there was no luck for us. After that we continued south and we stopped again for a walk where we found rocks with gold in it.
Then we got to Franz Joseph Glacier but it got rainy so we just had dinner, watched a DVD and then went to some other hot pools. It was more fun because there was a little rain falling on you when you were in the pool. Then we went back to our motel.
From Hanmer Sprigs we went west. On the way we stopped for a walk to a waterfall, there we found very special rocks. After that we continued to the west coast and reservation called Panakaiki. That's where we saw the pancake rocks. They are called like that because they look like pancakes. After that we went Kayaking in a reservation called Paparoa. After that we went to Grey Mouth were our motel was.
